Welcome to the boards Sue.

As there are no posts under mere's profile it means that she is no longer a member of Genes. You could try to click on the name "mere" and send a private message. If she still has the same email address that they registered with Genes (although possibly unlikely) she would be informed that she has a message from you and could still answer it.

If you need any help with your own research just start a new thread of your own and ask for help and someone will try to help you.

Hi - I have just joined Genes Reunited and I am a Hitchins from South Africa also researching the Hitchins family. Do you know any other details - Harry's parents or the sisters names and I will see what I can find out.
I see this post is from 2005 so not even sure you will get this but worth a try.
Thanks
Sue

Grandfather Harry Hitchins sailed from South Africa to New Zealand 1914 leaving behind 5 sisters. Any messages from this family would be much appreciated
