Hi I am Jennifer Walker Cook. I am looking for our English history. My great grandfather (6 back). His name is Thomas Walker he was born in 1710 in Brinkworth England father is John Walker b1666. Then comes William - no city or dates. then William Walker again d 1648 no city. Then Thomas Walker b 1544 Exter, Devon Co d 11/3/1628. According to family history we are direct decendents of Benjamin Stuart Walker - cousin to Mary, Queen of Scots. I have not been able to substanciate this yet. Thomas Walker (b 1710) migrated to USA in 1732 and married in 1734. Two of his sons were in the House of Burgesses in Williamsburg. They had a large plantation in Orange Co Virginia granted by govenor Dimwittie. We have a copy of his will. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated. Jennifer |
