A few years ago someone was looking for William Walker. It was impossible at the time to contact this person due to family problems. Apparently it was someone from the second world war. I am playing a wild card I guess, hoping one day I will get to understand why they were looking him up. Many thanks

Hi Patricia, I am looking for a William Frederick Walker - although my quest has only recently started. Here's what I know:

He was my paternal grandfather, aparently know as Billy.

Married my granmother Violet Treeves on 25/06/1927 in Manchester. They lived at 10 Thomas Street, Rusholme, Manchester in 1935 and moved to Wythenshaw around 1938/9
They seperated around 1940 and officially divorced on 26/06/1944

I believe that he then went to live in Anglesey, North Wales around 1937 and maybe became a fireman and of course may well have started another family

Many Thanks & Best Rgds
Steve
