I am Dana Lindsay Silcox - my father's family history (in America) goes back to William Lindsay Sr. in the late 1700's who was an iron forge builder on the frontier. We have a complete family history from that point, but cannot find his father. He was an iron forge builder on the frontier. This seems a skilled occupation to me and I'm wondering if anyone knows how it might provide a lead for us in finding furher information in the places where we know there is history - Virginia and Tennessee USA and Scotland. Thank you

James Ian
