Does anyone know of Archibald McNiven, merchant seaman, born 1857, died 24th Dec 1905, married Barbara Walker/Stewart. I have his death cert, been in our family for years, but I cannot find the conection to our McNiven tree

I 2 am searching the McNiven story. I have come across 1 Archidald McNiven b.1822. its a long shot but could he be the father of your Archibald??
the info I have is that Archie 1822, was the son of Duncan McNiven b. 1788 and Mary McIntyre b.1787. they had 10 children, Donald 1810, Duncan 1810, John 1812, Janet 1814, Kath 1814, Duncan 1816, Mary 1818, Archibald 1822, Kath 1826, and Peter 1840. is this of any help to you.
