I am trying to find information about Joseph LEE, born 21st June 1849 in Oldham, Lancs. (Date of death not known.) He worked as a Cotton Mule Minder, but Molly's marriage certificate lists him as a musician. He married Mary Ann Crompton in 1870 and had children: Arthur (my Great Grandfather), Elizabeth, Amand (aka Armand, or Ormond), Clara Alice (Clar'Alice, m. Robert Ratcliffe), Laura, Sarah and Mary (Molly, m. Ernest Gardner). His father was William LEE, a brickmaker. His mother was Elizabeth LEES. They married in Oldham in 1847. I cannot find William or Elizabeth on the 1851 or 1861 Census and their ages are not given on their Marriage Certificate. Do these details sound familiar? I would love to know if there are any relatives out there who could fill in some of the gaps!
