Hi I am researching my husbands family history. His name is Barry Jackson, born Edlington Doncaster in 1940. I would love to hear from anyone researching this Jackson branch, there should be more Jacksons around as Robert was one of 11 children: Barry's father was Robert Jackson; mother Hilda nee Barrowcliffe. Robert was born in 1902 in Royston, Barnsley. In the 1901 Census his Mother and Father John Jackson and Eliza nee Price were living at Jubilee Terrace, Royston, Barnsley with siblings Elizabeth, John, Arthur, and Eliza and another Arthur? The family had moved in the 1891 Census they were at Chesterton, Newcastle Under Lyne - Broad Meadow with daughter Elizabeth. John and Eliza were married on 21 Sep 1889. John's father was also called John Jackson; Eliza's father was Robert Price. I do have more information if anyone looks at www.hilarymaryjackson.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk |
