Could anyone please help me My birth name was Brenda Phelan my father was called Thomas Nichols Phelan, my mothers name was Emily Phelan i know i was born on the 24th of May 1950 i think in the Sunderland area. I have an older brother but i don't know how old he is he will be in his late 50's now and i don't know his name. Does anyone know of such a family if so i would like to hear from them

Just seen this today, & I'm so sad as this is my sister & I know she has now passed away. To think she was looking for me all those years ago

( I assume Brenda was adopted, away from birth family. it is unlikely that she married in her birth name of Phelan)

Penny: No Brenda didnt marry in her birth name, but it was easy to see which name she married in

Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL
