Member Since: November 2004 Posts: 0 Send Message	I am trying to find the birth place of my paternal gt.grandfather Sampson Moore who lived in Norwich. The family always undertood that he came from Sligo, Ireland. In cenus's his birthplace was given as Norwich, but there is no record of his birth in England and Wales which would have been c1847. His marriage certiificate states his father as John and the marriage was witnessed by a William Moore. He married Eliza Booty in Norwich on Christmas Day 1867. I have been in touch with Sligo and they could find no record of him either.
