Sandra, have you actually searched trees here at GR for your Silas?

You seem to have him in your tree as born in both Kent and Warwickshire -- or you have two different Silas Martins, two of these births, presumably:

Births Dec 1885
Martin Silas John Malling 2a 620

Births Sep 1887
MARTIN Silas Tamworth 6b 402
MARTIN Silas Malling 2a 626

Have you contacted the others with the same people? Someone also has a Silas Martin born in "Dorset ? in 1890" Since there doesn't seem to have been such a Silas Martin, this could be your Silas, who was living in Dorset in 1901, and shown as born abt 1888 in Newton Regis, Warwickshire.

Martin is a very common name, and it is extremely unlikely that any of these Martins in completely different places are related to yours.

You have put more information in another post you replied to here, but it's buried in a thread about completely unrelated people.

Why not start your own thread about your search? The best board to do it on is Trying To Find -- just one thread, on just one board, is the rule of course.

Give all the info you have about what it is you want to know, and many people will be glad to try to help.

Aaaaargh.

As was pointed out in the now deleted post, this thread is 4 YEARS OLD.

To reach anyone who has posted in it, you would do best to click on their names and send a private message. That is the only way that notification of your message might reach them, if they still have the same email address.
