Birth was registered in the Sub-district of Weymouth in the County of Dorset. son of Charles Edward GARLAND (sailor of Weymouth) son of Charles GARLAND & Sophia OAK b 22 Mar 1810 Wyke Regis. & Sarah SUGDEN daughter of William & Charlotte SUGDEN.
