Im trying to trace a Patrick Allen. ARound 1954/55 he had a relationship with Pauline Thornburn. She fell pregnant with his child and as far as I know they weren't allowed to stay together. He was from Belfast. She went on to have a child who is my partner. He would desperately like to contact his father's side of the family as he has no family history. Pauline was forced to give him up for adoption. It sounds as thought it was a tragic situation for all involved and happened at a time when children born out of wedlock were a taboo subject. This Patrick may have been born around 1935. We have tried adoption agencies but have had no response. Thank you in anticipation of your assistance. |
