I have just received the marriage certificate of my great-great-grandparents, George Thomas Rowling and Frances Hill. They were married 18th May 1863 at the church of St Peter and St Paul, Milton-next-Gravesend, Kent. George's father was Jonas Rowling, a mariner. Frances' father had the intriguing name of Goldsmith Hill, a wine merchant and I would like to know more about him. Do anyone have any ideas ? I know from the census that Frances was born in Shorne, Kent in 1839/40. Any help would be gratefully received. Steve |
