I have Darney's in my tree, in fact a strong connection My fathers parents were first cousins Grace Darney, my Grandfmother, married Robert Darney Ramsay. Grace's father was David Darney Roberts Mother was Georgina Darney. David was an Iron turner at Enfield Arsenal. If any of this strikes a chord. please contact me and I will give you access to my tree.
