I am trying to trace my late father's family past and present as I am working on our family tree. My father Alexander Scott was born in Kelso on 15-3-1920. His father also Alexander Scott was married to Jean Turnbull and they were married in Edinburgh on 5-5-1919. Jean Turnbull was born in Jedburgh on 25-11-1895. Her parents were George Turnbull and Jane Esther Smith. They were married in Jedburgh on 24-4-1891. Jane Smith's parents were Edward Smith and Mary Burnett? George Turnbull's parents were George Turnbull and Jane Boyd and they married in Kelso on 27-1-1854. My father's grandfather was also Alexander Scott and he married Margaret Gibson. I think this was in Hume Berwickshire |
