I'm trying to find information about the Thomas family. My father, Frederick Brookes Thomas, was the son of William and Hannah Mary Thomas. Her maiden name was Brookes, and I think she came from the Cardiff area. I know nothing about my grandfather. Both had been married before, she to someone by the name of Jenkins and she had a son, John Bevin, by him. After being widowed she married William Thomas and then had quite a few children with him - the names I know were Gwen, Charlotte, Lily, May. and possibly others that I don't know. The family emigrated to Sault Ste Marie in Ontario, Canada, but return when my father was about 10. Does this ring a bell with anyone? I'd be grateful for any information.
