Member Since: December 2002 Posts: 0 Send Message	20th Jan 1563 coat of arms confirmed, Raw: means 'dweller by the hedgerow' first mentioned in 1279 in Somerset and then in 1297 in Yorkshire. It was later mentioned in Surry and Chester. The word is from the old English: raw meaning row.
