My name is Roy Francis Evans,I was born in Eltham in 1941. My Father was Frank Evans, born in Plumstead in 1916. His Father was Alfred Evans born in Devon in 1871.He got married to Adelaide Mary Connolley,she also had a sister called Alice Connolley born in Goven Scotland. The Evans family were Shipwrights,as were the Connolleys, they travelled the country,and worked in the dockyards building ships. My Great grandfather was Alfred Evans born in Milford Haven Pembroke Wales, in 1837. My other Great grandfather was Alfred Connolley born in Sheerness Kent in 1836.
