I read the other day of a Ralph Anderson at Wearmouth Colliery between Southwick /Monkwearmouth who was killed in an accident.


Sunderland cemetaries site cant remember the URL

list of first People buried at Mere Knolls Cemetery Sunderland at time of opening.

George William Atkinson – a 14-year landing boy killed at Hylton Colliery in December 1904. He died after being run over by a set of empty coal tubs.
Ralph Anderson – a 57-year-old boiler fireman who was burned by escaping steam at Wearmouth Colliery in June 1907 and died the following month.
Could be same ralph.

My Andersons came from Wallsend in late 1700's and ended up in Sunderland[Southwick] around1876. William born 1829 Heworth ,had son Ralph 1850,Byers green , and grandsons Ralph 1881 and John Barker 1884. Looking for siblings of any of the above.
