CHARLES WILLIAM EDWARDS Hi All The above named was my husband's grandfather He was born anytime between 1872-1885, don't know where. Father was Charles Henry Edwards He was variously in the MN, RN, army, serving in Boer War & WW1 He received a Royal humane Soc Medal for saving a life off Eat Africa 1916, I have all the details on that The first real knowledge we have is in 1908 he married Florence Louise Cox in Gloucester & remained in Gloucester until he died in 1955 No-one can remember a regional accent. All they know is that he came from "up north" which could be anywhere north of Gloucester or in Wales He was a licenced victualler for most of his life in Gloucester. In fact I have most facts post 1908 Dolores |
