Chris Hill, My father-in-law was Henry (Known as Harry) Hill. He was a miner and he started work at about the age of seven. He was one of a family of thirteen from Jarrow in Newcastle. Henry Hill died at Moorgreen Hospital in Southampton.He came down to Southampton with the Jarrow Hunger Marchers. His siblings were Joe(who later married Chris and had two daughters), William(Bill who married Helen, they lived in Primrose, Jarrow and had two children daughters Sandra and Linda) Jack, Harriet (known as Sally, a singer who married Doug, they had four children Doug, Peter, Eric and Sally), Jennifer (known as Jenny, who married and became Bravey, and had daughters Gladdy), Katherine (known as Kit married Reg Wiles and had three children Janet, David, and one other) Henry's Father's name was John Heaton Hill. If anyone has further details of the family I would be greatful if they could e-mail me.
