Hi Susan. I am also looking for Wrights from Essex. My grandfather was born in Widdington 1894, he had a brother and sister. His parents were Thomas and Sarah Holgate.Thomas b.1863. He had three brothers,Joseph, Alfred, Charlie, two sisters Lucy, Jane. Their parents were William b.1828, Miss Susan ? Thats as far back as I have got. There's also mention of Saffron Waldon. Don't expect any of these are any good to you. If you have any other information it would be nice to hear from you.

Hi I am trying to trace the Wrights who originated from Widdington Essex. I have Thomas b 1801 who married Mary Chipperfield b 1807, their son Issac b1828 is my 3g grandfather he married Elizabeth ? b 1829 in Docking Essex, They lived in Newington where their daughter Elizabeth b1854 was born, they then lived in Sudbury Suffolk. their daughter had Annie b dec 1878 out of wedlock who is my grandmothers mum. I know Annie had 2 children before marriage both brought up by their grandmother and step grandfather. Elsie May Wright b feb 1900 Edward Percy Wright b sept 1903 Does anyone know who their father was? who did Annie marry? my gran once told my father that if any of his children met a Nicholls/Nickleson?? to do some checking, is this the name? Also does anyone know who Annies dad was? I know her mother married Harry Stiff but he is not the father Any info gratefully recieved Susan
