I am trying to find any information on my ggg grandfather JAMES BROWN. He was born about 1799 in Cockpen, Midlothian, Scotland, and I think he was married twice, first to ELIZABETH WILSON who was born c1800- 1816 in Midlothian. His second wife was ELIZABETH ROBERTSON born c 1817- 1820 also in the Midlothian area. Children of JAMES were :- JAMES b 1843 ( my gg grandfather ) CHRISTINA b 1845 ISABELLA b 1847 ( married to HUGH GUNN ) GEORGE b 1852 and twins ANN and CECILIA b 1855 James senior died sometime after 1855 and before 1861 when Elizabeth ( Robertson ) declared herself a widow on the Scottish Census of that year. If anyone has any connections to the family or any information they would like to share, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you, Denise |
