Hi, I am trying to find out about my GGrandfather Thomas Taylor who was born in either 1867 or 1868 (if his marriage certificate is right). His father is posted as Thomas Taylor (deceased) Publican. The marriage took place in 1899 so his father is supposed to have died before then. There were definite connections with London and the Yorkshire/Derbyshire areas. My GGrandfather was in the (R)ASC and was actively involved in both the Boer War and WW1 but died shortly after. His service number was S4/035513 but I have had no success with this so far. If you think you might be able to help or believe there may be a connection with your tree, I'd love to hear from you. |
