Trying to find Taylor

I'm looking for anything about one Frederick Taylor, born Bolton, Lancashire circa 1875/8. He was the eldest of seven surviving children born to Walter Edward and Sarah Taylor (nee Schofield). Fred emigrated to New Zealand ? in the early 1920's with his brother Charles (Charley), who later returned to Bolton with his family. It is thought Fred went to the Nelson area, and was apparently quite successful, setting up 'a chain of shops'. He may have later moved to the Auckland / Wellington area. Prior to leaving the UK, it is thought that Fred and his wife (not known) adopted a boy from the Fleetwood / Blackpool area of Lancashire. This boy subsequently married and had at least one child in New Zealand, by the name of SHONA TAYLOR. She accompanied him back to the UK in the early 1960's, shortly before he died ? 1962. Hope someone can help. |
