I am looking for any information about my great grandfather ALFRED LAWRENCE WILLIAM BAKER. He was born March 1882 or 3 in Fulham London.Parents were Alfred and Susannah Baker. He had 2 brothers Edward and Arthur and 1 sister, Margaret. In 1906 he Married Ada Caroline Kerley in Walham Green Church Fulham London and they had three children: Phyllis Lilian (my Grandmother) Dorothy Eileen who died as a baby and Lawrence Thomas.Alfred and the family moved from London to Sholing Southampton in 1912 where he joined the merchant navy.He was working for Cunard on board the Mauritania as saloon steward 1st class in the mid 30's when he just disappeared. He was known as 'Alec' Baker and after 1937 the family heard nothing more about him. If there is anyone out there who recognises him and knows what happened to him I would love to know.
