Trying to find Hall

Hi all, I need help finding my Hall relatives from Ashton and Denton in Manchester. My Grandad (William, Billy Hall) told his family that he had no relatives in Denton and that his parents had moved back to Ireland when he was 16. He had a brother Harrison. After i started with my research i found that my grandad had 14 aunties and uncles born in the ashton denton area. My mystery is why did he not have any contact with them, and tell his family he had no relatives. I know my grandma was his second wife, and his first wife left him for a policeman (apparently) Could anyone who knows anything please contact me, no matter how small thay think the info is.
