Trying to find informaton on WILLIAM JAMES TAYLOR born on the 13th September 1913 in Tottenham. His Father was EDWIN CHARLES WILFRED TAYLOR and his Mother was EMLIN GRANT. They were married on the 8th April 1912 in Royston Hertfordshire. We understand that they later divorced and Edwin Charles Wilfred Taylor went on to marry my Husband's Grandmother ETHEL FLORENCE BRIDGES in June 1920. For some reason William remained with his Father. My husband always knew that his Grandfather has been married before but the story was that his first wife had died so you can imagine the surprise on obtaining the marriage certificate that this was not the case. William was known as Sonny - he had a half sister Joan Bridges Taylor. We think (by looking at wedding photos) that he was at her wedding in March 1944. It is possible that he went to South Africa after the war. If this means anything to any relatives of WILLIAM JAMES TAYLOR we would love to hear from you. |
