Hi fellow Jones's Can anyone help please I am looking for my fathers brother Thomas (John?) Jones who married an Irish girl in the early 50s before leaving Newbridge Monmouthshire to set up home somewhere in Austrailia.I don't know if there had been a row or bad feelings but my father and Tom were never in contact. Toms Mothers name was Mable Jones (nee Waren) and his fathers name was Thomas John Jones he also has 2 sisters (Myfanwi and Margret) and a brother ( David Howard) His father was in the Coldstream Guards 1914-1918 and later worked for G.W.R. His mother was I think married before Tom to a Frenchman whilst working as a nurse in France in WW1 She was living in tredegar when they married but originated from Dorset.I would love to know if I have any Ausie cousins Thanks for taking the time to read this appeal |
