Am trying to find a needle in a Haystack!!! I am trying to trace my paternal Grandmother FLORENCE JOHNSON born C1890 probably in the WHITEFIELD, BURY area Her date of birth, given on her death Certificate was 31/05/1890 but that is not necessarily correct. She probably left under a bit of a cloud with my grandfather, HAROLD LINDEN, as he was already married, and they possibly 'eloped' to London, where they had their 1st child in 1916, unfortuately not surviving. They had a 2nd child, Charles in 1919 and my father Peter in 1925. She remained in the Acton, West London area until her death in 1974. Unfortuately she was a very secretive woman and l have no idea , and no known living relatives, who can assist in tracing her original family. ( It is unbelieveable the number of Florence Lindens born in that area around 1890!!). Anyone able to help would be gratefully appriciated. |
