Hi Is there anyone out there with connections to the Rickmansworh, Hertfordshire/Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire Wilsons? - in particular Jeremiah who was born c1772. He became a soldier in the 3rd Regiment of Footguards and eventually a Chelsea out Pensioner. He died in 1853 in Chalfton St Giles aged 77 (?) I think he married a Sarah Bottoms in 1815 and possibly had eight children. Some of this family or their descendants could have emigrated to Australia - Wilson's Promontory - but as yet this is only family rumour, nothing conclusive. Any help would be greatly appreciated |
