I am trying to find any information on my gradfather RICHARD JAMES HALL. He was very secretive about his family and never spoke of them We were lead to believe that he ran away from Ireland when he was 16, however his death certificate said that he was born in Victoria. Research suggests that he was the only living son of George Hall and Margaret McMahon, born in Carlton Victoria Australia in 1874. I have come to a dead end and would appreciate any help. I am also wondering if anyone has heard of a ship which travelled to Australia in the mid 1800's by the name of Sottish Chief all avenues so far have failed to find any information on this ship. |
