Hi, My 1C3R Emily LANE (b. Swallowcliff, Wilts, 1856) married Alfred George EVANS, a hatter, at St.Pancras, 1887. The couple were living at 5 Crogsland Road in 1887 and were later at 7 Hewitt Road, Hornsey. Living with them was Louisa LANE, Emily's spinster sister. She returned to Salisbury area and died there in 1932. I do not think Alfred & Emily had children. Alfred EVANS was the son of David EVANS (1829-) a hatter of Crogsland Road, St.Pancras and Amelia. They had another son, David J EVANS, a railway clerk who married Harriet (from Scarborough). This couple had four known children. I cannot find what happened to Alfred and Amelia after 1901, and any information would be welcomed. |
