Carol Lai (nee Yeo) Hi, I am trying to trace my mothers father`s family. He was John Arthur Evans, b. 13-7-1887, d.23-4-1955. on 1901 cencus he is shown as being 14yrs, and being the stepson of Arthur Walter Evans, aged 27yrs. His mother is shown as Emma aged 32yrs. Also on the cencus his sister Emma Louisa is 10yrs and his brother Samuel is 8yrs. All three are shown as stepchildren of Arthur Walter. Arthur and Emma then had two children together, Lily Grace, aged 2yrs and Arthur Walter aged 9months. John married Jane Elizabeth Harding on June 8th 1908. Their witnessess were John Wren and Emma Louisa Evans. I don`t know anything about Emma Louisa, but I do know that Samuel married (I think his wifes name was Eva) and had three daughters, Eva, Renee and Rosie. John and Jane had five sons and two daughters, John, Ronold, Frank, Charles and Alec, and Jeanne (known as Ginny) and Florence Eva (my mother). If anyone has any further info. I would be very gratefull Many thanks Carol. |
