Looking for Walter Brown, b circa 1886. 1891 census says he was born in Plumstead, but the family was living in Bromley-by-Bow on the census. Father Walter Brown and mother Elizabeth Hibbert. My grandfather was his baby brother James Lumbard Brown b 1890 and his sister (who I've linked up with descendants of) was Lily Brown b circa 1888. Grandfather always told us that he was an orphan, and since I can't find mother and father on the 1901 census, they must have died between the 2 censuses. My Auntie Peggy tells me she recollects that Walter joined the army and moved to Ireland. Does anybody out there know who I am talking about? Please help.... Julie |
