Hi - I'm still searching for the parents of William Martin, born 1848, in the Bethnal Green/Shoreditch areas of London. William married Sarah Starr on Nov.28th 1875 & they went on to have many children. According to his M/C William was a 'packing case maker' & his father is named as Edward Martin, Hawker. I cannot find Edward at all (although I haven't got much to go on) & can only find William from 1871 onwards. His birth doesn't appear to have been registered, (have lots of B/C's of William Martins-unfortunately none his!), but he was living with his married sister,Maria Welford (brn abt 1841), in the 1871 census. Any help or info would be gratefully received. Regards Coreen |
