A mystery. I am searching for Mary Taylor born about 1874 in Austrey Warwickshire. I haven't yet been able to find enough detail to get her birth certificate. Her father was William Taylor, a miller in Austrey and her mother was Eliza Taylor - have no idea of her maiden name. William married twice and Mary was from the second marriage. Both her mother and father died before she was 13. The next trace I have of her was when she gave birth to my grandmother in the workhouse in Shrewsbury area. Mary later married George Howells and then had more children - Alice, Albert and Frank. Can anyone help. Naom,i |
