Searching for the truth for my aunty! A baby was born on 18th August 1944/45. My aunty. The information on the birth cert. was: Babies name: Rose Marie Jackson. Mothers name: Winifred Jackson (upholsterist) Address: 15 St. Lawrence Tce., Howth. Dublin. She was told she was born in a nursing home for unmarried mothers in Drumcondra. The above address (as in 15 Lawrence Tce) was also the address that Rose returned to as adopted!!!! But she has no file as the adoption was not legal. It didn't go through any court or agency. So Rose (whose name changed to Marie Lawless before she maried and is now Marie O'Neill) thinks that because she was adopted to the same address, that her father is in the family, Perhaps her adopted dad being her real dad or her adopted brother being her real dad. Her adopted Dad (possible real Dad) passed away when Marie was 15 years old. Her adopted mother would never give her information. After her adopted mother passed away Marie couldn't get any information from other family members neither. While searching for info on her mother Marie was referred to Drumcondra for further information.....unfortunatly she didn't get anywhere. She needs closure and to have her origins confirmed as it is so hard not knowing. I have recently found my birth parents through some great help on here and know how it feels. I would be grateful for any information or advice as my aunty isn't computer literate. Thank you in advance. Cathy x
