WILLIAM LEE I'm trying to find out any information about my great grandfather William Lee born 1885/86 in Curtain Road London. he migrated to South Australia around 1906 and married Fanny Matilda from port Pirie Sth Australia. They settled in North Adelaide had 5 children, 2 died as toddlers. Male George born 1909. Females Jean Shepherd b.1907 and Moya Clare Hughes b.1918 (nee Lee) my grandmother. William Lee died in late 1960's.(not sure of exact date but think in Feb either 1966, 1967 or 1968). Would be interested to find out what years Fanny, George and Jean died; they were all dead by 1964 when I was born. William Lee's fathers name was Charles and do not know the name of his mother or siblings or the exact year he migrated to Australia. have tried looking at 1901 cenus but with no success. Would also be interested in hearing from any descendants/relatives of the above who may still be living in Adelaide/South Australia (in particular those of George Shepherd the husband of Jean Lee) |
