William James George Taylor - born c 1867 - is on my mother's birth certificate as her father, but I cannot find any trace of him on record. He did not marry my grandmother, so the four children were illegitimate, I understand. My grandmother was Doris Cooper, born 1895 in Southwell, Notts, and I understand my grandfather already had a wife & family when he started the family with Doris Cooper. any help would be much appreciated, as I have a gaping hole in my tree!!
