I am trying to find any details of my birth mother or her relations. Her name is Clemency Meara Wood, born circa 1922 - 4, possibly in the London area. She married a Dobson but divorced her husband in 1944. About two years later she lived with a married man (name unknown) by whom she had three children over the next 6 or 7 years. She then had a fourth child by a different man although still living with the father of the other children. The child was born at 2 Rutford Road, Streatham, London on 19th December 1954. The mother's address was given as Flat 1, 39 Kirkstall Road, London S.W.2. The child was named as Neil Vincent Dobson and given up for adoption on 4th January, 1955 as the man she was living with would not accept this child. |
