Benjamin. Born (circa)1803 - Died 19 April 1871. First marriage was to Mary Devonald at St. Gwynnio's church,Llanwinio,Carmarthenshire on 22 July 1823 witnessed by Jonathan Evans and Ebenezer Evans. Benjamin had 7 children with Mary before she died on 5th January 1842. William was re-married on 5th July 1842 to Mary Davies at the same church and had 7 more children by her. I have no reference to Benjamin before his first marriage and would like information leading back to his parents, and further.

Hi Angela

Did you ever find out who Benjamin's parents were or Mary Devonald's. I ask because Benjamin is my GGG Grandfather and Ive only just got the point of discovering that Benjamin and Mary were my GGG grandparents (a relative kindly nudged me in the right direction) and I'd dearly love to be able to go further back.
Any help would be much appreciated.

To help with your quere re Benjamins' parents, his marriage cert should give his father's name and occupation:
