I am looking for information on Clifford George Evans born in the March quarter of 1905 in Swansea. He died 16th November 1942 aged 37. He was married to Gertrude Ellen Clark on 1st December 1928 in Yeovil, Somerset. They had two children, David John Evans and Brian James Evans both now deceased. On the marriage certificate it states his father's name as William James Evans. I know nothing about the family ie whether there were brothers or sisters or where they lived. Clifford George Evans was my grandfather and I can only assume that he came to Somerset looking for work. It states on his marriage certificate that he was a barman and that his father, William James Evans was a Brewery Capman? (not sure if capman is correct!) Is there anyone out there who can help me?? |
