I am trying to obtain information on John Allen resident in Duddeston, Birmingham at the time of the marriage of his son John William Allen to Eliza Ann Maysey in May 1853. His son was 21 then which would put John senior's age at about 42 / 50 Possible birth year 1803 / 1811. John senior's occupation was given as jeweller. I know nothing more about him but I do have the names of John William's children.In the 1881 census their names are :- Blanche, aged 13: Ernest Edward, aged 11: Ada aged 7 and Christopher aged 4. Ernest became my Grandfather and he married Nancy Elizabeth Davis in 1906. If these names mean anything to anyone, please contact me. Ernie |
