I am searching for any information of ROBERT BAKER and GRACE HERRING. Robert married GRACE HERRING, in St Marys, Taunton, Somerset, 10 June 1754. He and Grace might have come from that area, but I have no leads as such. Robert had a business, he was a tailor and in the 1775 Sketchley's Directory :-Robert BAKER, taylor, of 133 Thomas St. They had four children. 1.WILLIAM BAKER, is believed to have married a Mary Ann Jenkins.He was a Tailor. 2. BETTY BAKER was chr 10 OCT 1754 Bridge Street Independent Or Congregational, Bristol, Gloucester, England. I don't think she married, but cared for her mother. 3. SAMUEL BAKER, b c 1759. He married Catherine Levi of Pembrokeshire. They settled in Monmouthshire, Wales. [this is my line] 4. NANCY BAKER. she m James Pullin 24 March 1792, at St Mary le Port, Bristol, Somerset. England. He and William are both mentioned in the 1794 Matthews Directory :- William BAKER, Tailor, of Bridge St, Bristol James PULLIN, accomptant,[accountant] of 5 Trenchard Lane, Bristol. I will be happy to share information of Samuel and Catherine Bakers line to anyone connected to them.
