My Grandfather was Albert Young (married to Martha Smith) they were from Wigan,Lancashire. His Father was Henry Thomas Young (a horsekeeper).Albert was born in 1889, When Martha died he remarried to Catherine Dempsey whom he divorced.. Albert had three daughters. Elsie (my Mother) and Dorothy her twin sister, also Olive a fifteen and a half pound baby girl. Elsie left home to live in Swinton Dorothy married Cyril Barnes and lived in Ince,Wigan,Lancashire Olive sadly died with a brain tumour in 1939. when she was 23 yrs. Greatgrandfather Henry Young married Agnes Rattray (Scottish decent.) hailing from Hawick and Galashields. They lived in Wigan. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Henry hailed from East Coker where he was married to Agnes where they had three daughters before she died. Names Emma,Eliza Jane and Lucy. Henry left East Coker to live in Hindley,Wigan and there met Agnes who had left Scotland to get work.
