I am trying to solve a mystery. Mr gr-gr grandmother was born Sarah Ann King in 1863 in Woolsthorpe, Grantham, Lincolnshire. By 1891 she had changed her name to Sarah Ann Shelborn but I cannot find any trace of a marriage. She had 3 children all registered as King Shelborn (William (bn 1888), Walter (bn 1886) and Louisa (bn 1883) (my gr grandmother)). In the 1891 census they were living in the Grantham Union Workhouse. On Louisa's birth cert it states her father as William Shelborn but I can't find any info on him. Any info would be greatly appreciated. |

I have a Sarah Shelborn in my tree christened 25/12/1862 in Harston Leicestershire. She was the illegitimate daughter of Anne Shelborn. Anne Shelborn married William King 30/12/1863 at Harston. My Sarah married John Robert Smart 16/02/1892 at Harston. Witness was William King. |
