Joyce Frost SARAH ANN EVANS I'm looking for any info on Sarah and her kinfolk. She was born in c1873 to John & Mary Ann Evans and had four [4] brothers, names unknown. She was living at 99,West St.,Sheffield when she married WILLIAM CARTER from next door at 97, West St., That was on July 15th 1895. William changed his name to DAVIS.Sarah Ann and William had nine [9] children.The eldest took the name Lillian Carter/Davis. The others had the surname Davis and they were ,William & John who were killed in W.W.1,Ethel, George, Mary, Minnie, James and my mother Elsie. WILLIAM CARTER was born out of wedlock to MARY ANN CARTER,on 18th Oct.1863 in CROWLAND in Lincs.Father unknown. |
