I have marriage cert dated 9 March 1875 where Edward Maurice Evans is 29 years old and living in Wolverhampton. On 1901 census he was living in Shoreditch where his birthplace is shown as Denbigh. A certain tv programme makes this research look so easy. Could somebody please tell me why I am such a pathetic failure in trying to discover the registration of this birth, despite spending several hours trawling through the 'Births' fiche records from 1841 to 1851? What I am doing wrong? |
