Hi I am trying to find information on my paternal grandfathers side of the family. His name was Thomas Anderson and he was born somewhere in Scotland in 1917 and had two brothers. I know he spent some of his childhood in a small village named Oxted. I know his mother remarried some time when grandad was a child and the other two brothers went to live with her and her new husband. Grandad joined the Scots home guard and then the London police in the late 30s, 1 brother died at War and the other emigrated I think to Toronto Canada in the early 50s. If anyone has any more information please let me know. Grandad married Jemima (who went by her middle name of Alice) presumably in London, but not sure when or where. |
